Research Data Management Workshop - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Researchers)
Information
Target Audience
Researchers - incl. Ph.D. candidates, PostDocs, Researchers, and Senior Researchers
Description
Today, researchers witness a digital and data-driven transformation that is changing the way research is done. Open science and sharing of research data are becoming more prominent while new international and national regulations impose requirements that researchers must adhere to. In this workshop, you will learn how to navigate this landscape more effectively.
This full-day workshop addresses (1) new requirements and guidelines for staff and researchers at UiO related to the management and sharing of research data. We will take a practical approach to (2) the planning work associated with research data management. We will practice (3) the organization and documentation of data, (4) learn best practices for processing data, and (5) familiarise ourselves with data storage requirements before we wrap up with learning how to archive data. The workshop also includes a walkthrough of a data management plan.
